CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Senior Data Science Consultant, Insurance - Remote. The role focuses on building and applying advanced simulation models to anticipate future insurance trends and guide executive decisions.

You will lead modeling work, translate problems into robust simulations, and collaborate with data governance and governance teams. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of experience, strong AI/data mining knowledge, and the ability to communicate insights to leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent education.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Experience in developing data pipelines for simulations and data science models.
• Experience in fostering the culture of the data scientist community.
• Master-level tool knowledge (SQL, Python, AWS, DataRobot, AnyLogic, and other simulation tools).
• Deep knowledge in AI, data mining, data evaluation, and proficient in compiling a modeling dataset.
• Strong communication skills to explain model insights to technical and business leaders.
• Master-level data science knowledge and understanding of the insurance marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of simulation models (discrete-event, agent-based, system dynamics, or hybrid).
• Translate business problems into robust simulation frameworks.
• Conduct scenario analysis, optimization, and risk analysis.
• Interpret simulation results and large datasets for executive and technical audiences.
• Guide business users on model assumptions, limitations, and best practices.
• Mentor junior consultants and review modeling work for quality and rigor.
• Support problem understanding and solution design, including proposals and executive presentations.
• Partner with data governance, model governance, and regulatory teams.
• Advise the business with actionable recommendations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Help shape CSAA's data science community and culture.
