CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) seeks a Senior Data Science Consultant to remotely shape the future of insurance analytics. You will build and apply advanced simulation models to explore trends and inform leadership decisions, driving CSAA's long-term strategy.

In this highly strategic role, you will mentor others, develop cross-functional frameworks, and translate complex results into clear business recommendations for senior leaders and stakeholders across data, IT, governance, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent education.
• Requires 10 years related professional experience with transferrable skills.
• Experience in developing data pipelines for simulations and data science models.
• Experience with fostering the culture of data scientist community.
• Master-level tool knowledge (e.g., SQL, Python, AWS, DataRobot, AnyLogic, and other simulation tools).
• Deep knowledge in AI, data mining, data evaluation, and proficiency in compiling an effective modeling dataset.
• Strong communication skills to explain model insights to technical and business leaders.
• Master-level data science industry knowledge and knowledge of the insurance marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of simulation models (discrete-event, agent-based, system dynamics, or hybrid).
• Translate business problems into robust simulation frameworks.
• Conduct scenario analysis, what-if studies, optimization, and risk analysis.
• Interpret results and deliver actionable insights to executives and technical audiences.
• Guide users on model assumptions, limitations, and best practices.
• Coach junior consultants and review modeling work for quality and rigor.
• Support problem understanding and solution design, including proposals and presentations.
• Partner with data governance, model governance, and regulatory teams.
• Advise and make actionable recommendations with significant impact.
• Collaborate across data, IT, governance, legal, and business.
