Job description

Senior Instructional Designer
Location: Remote (North Chicago, IL)
Duration: 7+ Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Job Description:
Myticas’s direct client is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer with extensive experience in developing multimedia-rich courses, proficient in tools such as Articulate Rise, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Canva, Tech Smith Camtasia, and SharePoint. With over five years of experience in designing educational eLearning products (Video Base Learning, Microlearning Videos and eLearning/SCROM Course), the candidate should have a strong grasp of how to integrate various media elements based on different learning styles.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating content thumbnails and conducting content tests with subject matter experts and test subjects to ensure the learning material is sound.
  • Once courses are completed, they will upload the SCORM files to our Learning Management System (LMS) and educational videos to our video repository.
  • The role also includes uploading links and thumbnails to content on our internal SharePoint pages, making necessary edits to improve engagement, and ensuring the learning flow is seamless.
  • Organizing materials effectively is crucial to enhance the user experience for our learning audience.
  • The candidate will be responsible for updating the SharePoint page dedicated to communicating our educational material and assisting in writing content for internal communications (Teams Channels and LMS Communication Areas) about new projects that are launched.

Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with updating internal SharePoint pages with relevant links and content, ensuring materials are organized to enhance user experience for our learning audience. Their role will also involve writing content for internal communications about newly launched projects, aiding in the dissemination of information across the organization.

Strong organizational skills are essential, as the candidate will track project progress and regularly update the Associate Director of Learning and Development. This position reports to the Manager of Learning and Development, AI and Digital Upskilling.
