Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Hospital Contracting professional to initiate, negotiate, and execute physician, hospital and other provider contracts. You will report to the Director, Provider Contracting and lead negotiations for hospital agreements with a focus on value-based arrangements.

Required: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of hospital negotiation experience in Medicare, plus strong MS Office skills. This remote role may involve travel, with a 40-hour week and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years hospital negotiation experience.
• Experience leading hospital and health system contract negotiations.
• Progressive network management experience in healthcare.
• Experience negotiating managed care contracts with hospital systems.
• Able to analyze financial impact of contract terms and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements including terms and renewals.
• Evaluate reimbursement methodologies such as DRG, case rates and POC.
• Partner with Finance, Legal and Operations to ensure sound contracts.
• Communicate contract terms and payment structures to providers.
• Analyze financial impact and maintain contract documentation.
• Identify and recruit providers to fit network needs.
