Job summary

B&A seeks a Senior Geospatial Data Analyst to support a federal government client. You will transform geospatial data into accurate, visually effective cartographic products using FME, QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and professional cartographic principles.

This role will begin remotely and transition to onsite support based on program requirements, collaborating with analysts, developers, project managers, and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
• 10+ years of professional geospatial data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Transform geospatial datasets into accurate, readable cartographic products per specifications.
• Develop and troubleshoot spatial data workflows using FME for data integration.
• Use QGIS to analyze data, create maps, and manage geospatial layers.
• Apply cartographic rules for symbolization, placement, and readability.
• Perform generalization, displacement, and conflict resolution to improve maps.
