Job summary

Deloitte's AI & Engineering team seeks a Senior GCP Architect (Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer II) to lead secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions for Public Sector clients. This remote role is within the continental United States and requires a TS/SCI clearance eligibility and strong cloud leadership.

You will drive modernization, mentor engineers, and coordinate complex deployments with client teams, while ensuring architectural standards and security across environments.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• 12+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud operations, software development, or technical consulting.
• 8+ years in enterprise or government cloud architecture with 5+ years hands-on software engineering using Python or C++.
• Experience leading cloud deployments, migrations, or modernization programs and advising engineering teams and executives on cloud decisions.
• Experience designing, implementing, or operating Google Cloud infrastructure, networking, security, data, applications, and Kubernetes services.
• Hold a current Google Cloud Professional certification (any listed).
• Ability to travel up to 10%, on average.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions; establish architecture standards and roadmaps.
• Advise customers' engineers, leaders, and executives on architecture tradeoffs and strategies.
• Provide hands-on engineering leadership through coding, prototyping, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Lead cloud modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives; manage risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate with client teams to resolve complex issues and mentor junior architects and engineers.
• Review technical deliverables to ensure quality and consistency.
