Overview

Insight Global's client is looking for a seasoned Full Stack React/Python Developer to join their fastest growing insurance client and lead their product team. This tech-enabled and data-driven firm is rapidly expanding. In just three short years they have amassed nearly 500 employees. They are developing their core insurance platform, including rewriting and building a scalable pricing model application to drive business. The Senior Fullstack Developer will lead architecture and design recommendations, provide guidance on best technology practices (frameworks and languages), and lead/mentor junior developers on the product team. The role involves collaborating with the technology delivery manager, digital product managers, and other team members to translate stakeholder requests and system specifications into high-quality systems solving real business problems.

As part of an agile team, you will complete complex software development work involving creative application design, coding, and debugging methods. You will work with testers, provide guidance to stakeholders, manage engineering risks, and stay up to date with new technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design recommendations for the core insurance platform and pricing model application.
• Guide best technology practices (frameworks and languages) and mentor junior developers on the product team.
• Collaborate with the technology delivery manager, digital product managers, and other stakeholders to capture requests and translate them into high-quality systems.
• Participate in agile software development, including coding, debugging, testing, and risk management.
• Provide guidance to testers and stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Fullstack Developer (React, Node, or TypeScript on the front end; Python for backend/API development).

• SQL Server experience.

• Prior experience working in an Agile environment.

• Experience with Snowflake or other relational databases.
