Job summary

Deque Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help develop our Axe Monitor product and component libraries. Frontend work will be TypeScript and ReactJS, while the backend uses Java with Spring Boot and SQL.

This role serves as a primary engineering anchor during US Eastern business hours and will drive backend architecture while addressing production issues when offshore team members are unavailable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience with strong backend depth in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and relational databases.
• Frontend: 2+ years of experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and ReactJS.
• Ability to investigate and resolve production issues independently and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience building large-scale software in enterprise environments (finance, insurance, big tech, or scaled SaaS).
• Active GitHub profile with inspectable code (Java samples preferred).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of backend services, scanner engines, data pipelines, and SQL queries using Java/Spring Boot/Hibernate.
• Design and maintain accessible UI components and APIs in TypeScript, Node.js, and ReactJS.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery while reviewing AI-generated code for security and accuracy.
• Respond to production issues during US Eastern business hours and collaborate with offshore teammates as needed.
• Ensure web accessibility principles (WCAG) are integrated into the codebase.
