Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Sr Forward Deployed Engineer for a remote contract role. You will embed with clients, define architectures, and deliver production-ready workflows using AWS, Terraform, React/TypeScript/Node.js, and Python.

You must be hands-on with Claude Code or similar tools, and align with PST hours. This independent contractor position runs 6–8 months with renewal possibility.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS serverless architecture experience (Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, S3).
• Terraform IaC proficiency.
• Full-stack experience: React/TypeScript/Node.js and Python.
• AI-native SDLC and harness engineering experience.
• Claude Code or similar agentic tooling experience.
• Timezone overlap with PST working hours (5 hours).
• Hands-on AWS delivery is required.

Responsibilities

• Embeds with the client as technologist and trusted advisor, partnering with business stakeholders to define and architect solutions.
• Leads design and deployment of agentic workflows that are production-ready, secure, and operational, and retains accountability for system design.
• Acts as Claude Code super-user and full-stack AWS developer deeply engaged with the client’s business.
• Typically carries depth or breadth across multiple specialties.
