Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Sr Finance Manager to provide key financial analysis, build valuation models, and support strategic decisions across investment opportunities, M&A, and capital structure. You will prepare long-range plans, budgets, and forecasts while guiding senior management on financial policy and performance.

Role includes cross-functional partnerships, advanced Excel modeling (VBA), and potential telecommuting.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Accounting, or related field; 2 years of experience in finance or finance-related occupation.
Presenting financial analysis and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Valuation methodologies including DCF, multiples, and incremental P&L impact; financial modeling for executive decisions.
Forecasting and monitoring cash flow using direct and indirect models; managing liquidity and banking relationships.

Responsibilities

Provide financial expertise to drive performance; build sophisticated valuation models and analyze investments, M&A, capital structure, pricing and KPIs.
Prepare long-range plans, annual budgets, and strategic assessments; review results vs forecasts.
Educate senior management on financial policies and interpret them for functional areas.
Develop financial models for mergers and acquisitions and asset partnering, using Excel tools.
Support capital allocation decisions including debt issuance, deleveraging, and share repurchase programs.
