Job summary

Bruce & Bruce Company is seeking a Senior Actuary to lead FIA product development and pricing, working directly with clients and cross-functional teams. You will shape pricing strategies, build robust models, and influence product design and strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in life insurance or annuities, FIA pricing leadership, and strong communication skills to translate complex analytics into actionable recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field.
• FSA preferred; ASA candidates with FIA pricing leadership considered.
• 10+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance or annuities with leadership in pricing, product, or valuation.
• Deep FIA experience across design, pricing, repricing, inforce analysis, and assumption setting.
• Strong knowledge of statutory, U.S. GAAP, LDTI, capital frameworks, and actuarial governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing strategy and profitability analysis for FIA products and launches.
• Own and enhance pricing and projection models for design, valuation, and filings.
• Provide insights on policyholder behavior, lapse trends, and rate strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Legal to support filings and governance.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
