Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer to support the Structural Processing engineering team. This remote role emphasizes hands-on development, integration, and validation of advanced manufacturing equipment across sites.

Travel for commissioning and on-site support is required periodically. The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 5+ years in industrial automation or robotics, with experience in PLCs, sensors, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

Support development, integration, and validation of structural-processing equipment.
Execute portions of equipment development workstreams (design review, controls integration, commissioning).
Interface with OEMs, integrators, and suppliers to improve manufacturability and reliability.
Support equipment architecture, controls strategy, robotics integration, and safety setups.
Translate process requirements into equipment design inputs for scalable solutions.
Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across automation subsystems.
Collaborate across sites to define technical requirements and ensure readiness.
Participate in on-site commissioning, debugging, startup, and handoff.
