Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer Senior for the North American Service Distribution Team. This remote role requires frequent travel to customer sites and involves designing, specifying, and commissioning material handling systems across North America.

You will lead an engineering project team retrofitting brownfield facilities, ensuring designs meet specifications, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining clear communication with site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of related work experience in material handling or process industry.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop compliant electrical and process control systems that meet customer specifications and safety regulations.
• Peer review designs to ensure compliance with customer specifications and safety regulations.
• Optimize system functionality from as-sold to a working electrical design within the budget in consultation with other disciplines.
• Design, review, and approve system and component level calculations for sizing components and equipment.
• Design and approve complex process control systems using PLCs, sensors, motors, and related components.
• Engineering of project specials for non-standard design applications.
• Apply safety regulations to all designs.
• Specify and approve electrical and process control equipment for complete process systems.
• Use AutoCAD Electrical and other tools to develop wiring diagrams, BOMs, etc.
• Document engineering decisions and provide installation instructions to site teams.
• Travel to site as needed for site surveys.
