Job summary

Connico is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead complex electrical cost estimating from concept through construction documents. You will develop accurate estimates, identify scope gaps, reconcile costs, and advise clients as project information evolves.

This hands-on role entails mentoring junior estimators and improving repeatable estimating practices across disciplines. Remote-friendly with in-office options in the U.S.; travel up to 10% may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-time electrical estimating experience.
• Journeyman/Master Electrician License or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Professional certification such as CCP, CPE, PCSE, CEP, CCE, PE or similar credential.
• Proven ability to independently develop high-quality electrical estimates across Levels 1–5 and all design stages.
• Experience leading complex estimating assignments and coordinating across disciplines.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications across all design levels.
• Proficiency with IntelliBid, Accubid, On-Screen Takeoff, MII, MCACES or comparable tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead and independently develop electrical cost estimates across design stages from concept to final documents.
• Develop detailed material and labor estimates for electrical systems (MV, LV, communications, AV, security, fire alarm).
• Identify missing information, scope gaps, and risks; justify assumptions.
• Lead estimate reconciliations, QC reviews, bid analyses, value engineering, lifecycle analyses, and cross-discipline coordination.
• Manage multiple estimating assignments, meet deadlines, and uphold Connico standards.
• Mentor and train estimators in conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, cost buildup, and reporting.
• Own estimating data, cost assemblies, templates, and reporting practices.
• Build client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor; participate in meetings and site visits.
