Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Engineering Consultant to lead the electrical design of complex projects, including mission-critical and wastewater facilities, with strong cross-disciplinary collaboration. The role demands experience in medium-voltage power systems and proficient use of e-TAP and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with mission critical and wastewater facilities.
• Design of medium-voltage power, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, and RPPs.
• Proficient with e-TAP and AutoCAD for design.
• Familiar with SCADA, EPMS, and CxAlloy.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NETA, and International Codes.
• Strong ability to present designs to clients/contractors.
• Project management with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for complex projects and ensure technical accuracy.
• Lead technical design reviews and coordinate with project teams.
• Participate in planning and management meetings and provide improvement recommendations.
• Review work for junior staff and ensure timely sign-off by licensed engineer.
• Ensure project delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise documentation quality.
• Present technical concepts to clients and contractors.
