Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Data Scientist to join our data-driven team. You’ll partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love, using Python, AWS, Spark, and open-source tools to derive insights from billions of records.

You’ll build machine learning models from design to deployment, validate results, and translate complex analytics into tangible business outcomes, helping customers save time and money.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 9 years analytics experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies — Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more — to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
• Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
• Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals
