Ocean Conservancy seeks a Senior Director of Clean Energy and Climate Diplomacy to lead the climate mitigation and clean energy portfolio, reporting to the VP of Climate. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in climate and clean energy policy.
• Creative, open, and innovative approach to policy development.
• Strong leadership and management experience with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in developing and managing budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Established relationships within domestic and international climate and clean energy communities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, including public speaking.
• Proven ability to run public events and represent at external engagements.
• Strong analytical background in climate analysis or related tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead implementation of climate mitigation and clean energy priorities.
• Provide strategic guidance on ocean-related clean energy issues and policy ideas.
• Lead and mentor a team of ~4 staff; foster excellence and collaboration.
• Collaborate across departments to align climate initiatives.
• Build relationships with policymakers, NGOs, industry, and partners.
• Represent the institution at public forums, conferences, and government meetings.
• Monitor climate analysis trends to inform strategy and advocacy.
• Support fundraising goals for climate work and organization-wide efforts.
• Collaborate with Strategic Communications to advance visibility and media presence.
• Oversee budgets and resources aligned with strategic priorities.
