Job summary
Bionova Scientific LLC is seeking a dynamic Director/Sr Director of Business Development to drive growth for plasmid DNA CDMO services and related protein CDMO solutions. The role requires strong scientific understanding of advanced therapy development and a track record of sales success in cell and gene therapy markets.
The position will partner with SVP BD and the GM/SVP Operations at the Houston facility, with cross-selling into Fremont.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Science; advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years in life science, biologics, or CDMO sectors.
- Proven B2B sales success in biopharma environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets in plasmid DNA and viral vector markets.
- Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
- Maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and regular forecasting.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with biotech/biopharma clients.
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
- Collaborate with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance on proposals.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to refine strategy.
- Provide strategic updates to senior leadership and pursue partnerships.
