Job summary

Gartner seeks a Senior Director Analyst in North America focusing on AI-driven compute architecture and custom silicon. This individual contributor role emphasizes thought leadership, market intelligence, and client impact through insights delivered via virtual and in-person engagements.

You will analyze AI model evolution, advise on GPUs, ASICs, XPUs, accelerators, and memory technologies, and shape Gartner's research agenda.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electronics, semiconductor engineering, software engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in semiconductors or a related industry, with recent focus on AI platforms or custom silicon.
• Customer-facing experience within the semiconductor supply chain.
• Strong knowledge of embedded software and the custom semiconductor supply chain.
• Understanding of GPUs, ASICs, XPUs and accelerators; familiarity with AI models.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, must-have insights content and thought leadership.
• Develop in-depth analysis to identify root causes and drive strategy.
• Present high-value materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support sales by providing market intelligence and market forecasts.
• Mentor junior analysts and collaborate across teams.
