Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in retail, interior, environmental, or experiential design.
• Strong proficiency in SketchUp and LayOut.
• Experience with rendering software such as Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, or Twinmotion.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate design intent through plans, elevations, and details.
• Familiarity with AI-supported design tools and emerging technologies to improve workflow.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced 3D Retail Designer to create innovative retail stores, fixtures, displays, and branded environments for world-class clients. Our projects range from point-of-purchase (POP) displays and custom fixture systems to complete retail store environments for leading consumer brands.

The ideal candidate will combine strong creative vision with practical design and production knowledge. This role focuses heavily on 3D modeling, visualization, rendering, and presentation development. Candidates must have a portfolio demonstrating exceptional 3D design and visualization skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative and innovative 3D designs for retail displays, exhibits, fixtures, and full-store environments.
• Create high-quality 3D models using SketchUp and prepare professional, presentation-ready renderings.
• Use SketchUp LayOut to communicate design concepts, dimensions, and design intent clearly.
• Produce realistic renderings and visual presentations using tools such as Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, or Twinmotion.
• Incorporate internal feedback and client revisions to refine and improve design concepts.
• Ensure designs align with client branding, merchandising strategies, and customer experience goals.

2. Technical Documentation & Production Support

• Translate design concepts into clear technical documentation, drawings, and presentation materials.
• Prepare plans, elevations, details, and production-ready files that accurately communicate design intent.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate materials, modularity, fabrication methods, manufacturing efficiencies, and overall aesthetics.
• Support drawing updates, redlines, and design coordination throughout all project phases.
• Maintain organized project files, design assets, and version control.
• Ensure designs meet practical requirements for manufacturing, installation, budget, and project schedules.
• Work closely with senior designers, account managers, engineering teams, and production partners.
• Coordinate with external vendors and fabrication partners when needed.
• Participate in design reviews, creative discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in design processes and workflows.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in retail, interior, environmental, or experiential design.
• Strong proficiency in SketchUp and LayOut is mandatory.
• Professional experience with rendering software such as Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, or Twinmotion.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, spatial planning, design principles, and constructability.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate design intent through plans, elevations, and detail drawings.
• Understanding of retail merchandising principles, materials, fixtures, and fabrication methods.
• Experience taking projects from initial concept through design development and production.
• Strong visual communication, presentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with AI-supported design tools and emerging technologies to improve workflow efficiency, explore concepts, and communicate ideas effectively.

Remote Work Requirements

• This is a fully remote position.
• Candidates must reside within the Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones.
• Must be available during the team's core business hours.
• Occasional travel may be required for client meetings or team gatherings.
