Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in database administration.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server architectures and performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/compliant cloud data architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade DBMSs and manage database objects.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and queries.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies and run drills.
• Enforce database security policies and manage user access.
• Collaborate with developers and IT staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain thorough documentation of configurations and procedures.
