Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking a Sr Data Scientist for remote work across the United States (except Hawaii and territories) to lead forecasting, optimization, and ML initiatives in supply chain.

You will build models, explore data, validate hypotheses, and collaborate with product teams to improve demand accuracy, inventory levels, and replenishment strategies. Strong technical skills and mentoring abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in data science/mathematics/CS/statistics or 3+ years experience, or Bachelor's with 6+ years.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication within cross-functional teams.
• Expert in time series forecasting, optimization, ML and deep learning.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM and cloud deployment of ML models.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and Bash; Git and CI/CD basics.
• Experience with data lakes, feature stores, and MLOps concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting, optimization, and ML model development for supply chain problems.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Own model development from inception to deployment, including pipeline and drift.
• Mentor junior data scientists and data engineers.
• Document models, data sources, and methodologies.
