Job summary

MCA Connect is seeking a Senior Data Science Engineer who can bridge data science, data engineering, and software development in a Microsoft-centric stack. You will drive data-driven decision making, build scalable pipelines in Azure, and deliver insights with Power BI, Fabric, and Databricks.

Expect ownership of deployed workloads, collaboration with manufacturing clients, and a strong emphasis on validation, reproducibility, and cost-aware architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in data science, data engineering, or software engineering.
• 3+ years building, deploying, and supporting workloads in Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's a plus but not required.
• Ability to own deployed solutions and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Experience with data storage, compute, and cost management in Azure.
• Strong Python and SQL development and MS Fabric/Azure Databricks proficiency.
• Experience building reports and semantic models in Power BI.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and validation of results.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into measurable analytical problems with explicit criteria.
• Develop, deploy, and monitor end-to-end data science workloads in Azure.
• Build reusable data processing components and maintainable codebases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate models and integrate results.
• Ensure data lineage, access controls, and security across platforms.
• Design reproducible experiments and robust tests for models.
• Provide clear explanations of methods, tradeoffs, and limitations.
