Job summary

Credit Acceptance is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design and maintain dimensional and relational data models across our Databricks lakehouse. You will translate business requirements into scalable data structures, support AI-ready data, and collaborate with engineers and analysts to deliver value.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in data modeling, strong Kimball and 3NF experience, and hands-on skills with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and data governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or analytics engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in dimensional modeling (Kimball) and relational modeling (3NF).
• Experience modeling data across multiple source systems in cloud data platforms (Databricks or similar).
• Awareness of how data models serve downstream AI and analytics use cases, with willingness to deepen expertise in semantic layer design.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain logical and physical data models across the Databricks lakehouse.
• Translate business requirements into clear, well-documented data structures for analytics and AI consumption.
• Model data with full lifecycle awareness across systems, not just the lakehouse.
• Develop semantic layer artifacts to enable AI agents and self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement ELT pipelines and denormalized views.
• Adhere to enterprise data modeling standards and participate in design reviews.
