Job summary

Hylant is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and operationalize its enterprise data architecture on Databricks and Azure. You will translate architectural designs into reliable, scalable data pipelines and business-ready datasets, collaborating with the Lead Data Architect to ensure governance, security, and standards are met.

Responsibilities include developing and monitoring ETL/ELT pipelines, creating curated data layers, and delivering trusted datasets through Databricks SQL and Power

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
• Strong SQL and PySpark data transformation skills.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.
• Exposure to Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and analytics-ready datasets using Databricks notebooks, PySpark, and SQL.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes with Azure Data Factory and Databricks; manage scheduling and tuning.
• Create and map target schemas, curated tables, and data layers per architecture standards.
• Enforce data governance, security, and access controls via Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and reliable analytics.
