Job summary
Tech9 is seeking a senior cloud data engineer to modernize and migrate 10-15 years of meeting house data to Microsoft Azure, upgrading data technologies and improving security and availability.
You will move from legacy tools like SSRS and SQL Server on-prem to cloud-based pipelines with Databricks, DBT, Python, and PowerBI Fabric, designing data warehouses and enabling global reporting.
Strong collaboration with vendors and agile teams is required to deliver scalable, automated solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data services and cloud migrations.
- Proven ETL and data warehousing expertise using DBT and dimensional modeling.
- Strong Python scripting for data extraction and automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead migration from legacy systems to Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
- Design dimensional models and data warehousing solutions.
- Manage ETL pipelines with DBT, Databricks, and REST APIs.
- Develop semantic models and PowerBI endpoints.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Terraform.
- Enable global data access via robust reporting structures.
- Participate in Agile sprints and deliver commitments.
- Communicate in professional English with contractors.
