Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to support DHS ICE program management, data analytics, and reporting. The role will work remotely within the United States and partner with a team of analysts to respond to data calls, develop dashboards, and ensure data lineage across systems.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of professional experience, 3+ years in data analysis, and hands-on skills in Databricks, Python, and SQL. A DHS clearance is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Experience with Python and/or SQL development.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Databricks to track data lineage across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect information for timely responses to requests.
• Support data analytics and reporting requirements including weekly and monthly reports.
• Group data from multiple sources to create interconnected data streams for analysis (SQL or Python).
• Develop data dashboards and organizational views of data requirements for customers.
• Understand client needs and perform gap analysis to recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline teams to meet project deadlines and schedules.
• Create project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Disseminate information among business and technical customers in support of project managers.
• Establish effective project communication plans and ensure execution.
• Verify data and analyze to support project direction.
• Track, forecast and report on project progress and metrics.
• Analyze changes in requirements and recommend expedient solutions.
• Translate complex issues into a clear narrative for stakeholders.
