Job summary

You will support Humana's internal pharmacy benefit manager with negotiations, audits, and responses to inquiries, traveling occasionally for training. This remote Senior Counsel role requires a J.D., 10 years' experience, state bar membership, and strong legal writing and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 10 years of experience.
• Active membership in a state bar association.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and in team settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for strategic initiatives, including contract negotiations with pharmaceutical manufacturers and ERISA self-funded plans.
• Provide legal guidance on federal and state regulatory compliance.
• Advise on risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and legal implications of commercial initiatives.
• Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes.
• Support audits, investigations, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
