Job summary

Slice is seeking a Senior Counsel to support a fast-moving tech company across commercial contracts, employment law, IP, and product counseling. You’ll negotiate complex deals and advise on regulatory matters while partnering with product, finance, and operations. The role reports to the Head of Legal and offers broad ownership across multiple practice areas.

The position emphasizes growth, independent decision-making, and a path toward a global in-house leadership role as the company scales.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar admission in New York or another US jurisdiction.
• 5–10 years of legal experience, with time at a top-tier law firm.
• In-house tech company experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgement and business pragmatism.

Responsibilities

• Advise across commercial contracts, FinTech, AI, employment law, IP, and product counseling.
• Draft and negotiate vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, NDAs, and data processing agreements.
• Lead employment matters across US and international jurisdictions.
• Coordinate IP filings and enforcement with outside counsel; manage disputes.
• Partner with Head of Legal and cross-functional teams on governance and compliance.
