Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Tax Senior Accountant in the United States to support corporate tax activities. The role focuses on state tax compliance, audits, notices, and related accounting under ASC 740, with involvement in federal and international tax compliance, tax research, and provision work.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, lead defined projects, and guide colleagues while ensuring accurate tax filings and timely responses to notices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in tax accounting and compliance, preferably with public accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with state audit requests and coordinate with state auditors on tax issues.
• Support technology improvement processes to enhance efficiency.
• Research IRS and state regulations and interpretations.
• Prepare and review federal and state tax workpapers and filings.
• Review federal and state income tax returns, including consolidated returns.
• Supervise state apportionment and allocation work papers.
