Zusammenfassung

RapidFort, Inc. seeks a hands-on Senior Container Security Engineer focused on CVE remediation and image hardening for Linux-based container environments. You will work with platform engineering, DevOps, and security teams to build automated remediation pipelines and deliver production-ready hardened images.

You will own end-to-end remediation, patch and rebuild images, reduce attack surface, and ensure secure software delivery across CI/CD and GitOps workflows using AWS/Azure/GCP environments.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in Linux/Platform engineering, DevSecOps, or SRE.
• Deep knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu/Alpine/RHEL.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in containerized environments.
• Proven CVE remediation in Linux/container ecosystems.
• Proficiency with apt/yum/dnf/apk/rpm.
• Experience with Trivy/Grype/Clair or similar scanners.
• Scripting in Python/Bash/Go.
• Understanding of container image layering/filesystems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code workflows.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.

Aufgaben

• Own end-to-end CVE remediation across Linux-based container images.
• Analyze vulnerabilities across OS packages, libraries, runtimes, and dependencies.
• Patch, rebuild, validate, and maintain hardened container images at scale.
• Reduce attack surface by removing unnecessary packages and services.
• Build and scale automated remediation pipelines for continuous image patching.
• Improve image security posture with minimal operational disruption.
• Generate, validate, and maintain SBOMs for supply chain visibility.
• Integrate remediation workflows into CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
• Optimize image size and startup performance.
• Research emerging Linux, container, Kubernetes, and software supply chain threats.
• Troubleshoot dependency and runtime security issues.
• Help define internal standards for hardened images.
