Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Commodity / Strategic Sourcing professional to develop strategic plans for CCAs/PCBAs and manage complex subcontract types exceeding $500M annually. You will lead RFQ processes to contract signings, craft SOWs, and drive long-term value through LTAs/MTAs within OneRTX Electronics.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, supplier risk management, and cross-functional collaboration, with up to 10% travel and a nationwide US remote shift.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent plus 10 years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 7+ years).
• Defense industry experience and FAR/DFAR compliance in a Prime contractor.
• Experience across the product lifecycle: capture, development, production, sustainment, PBLs.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop elements of commodity / account management and strategic sourcing strategy.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies addressing capacity and location decisions.
• Evaluate and select suppliers meeting price, quality, timing, and reliability criteria.
• Lead early supplier identification and engagement for new business pursuits.
• Manage relationships with strategic accounts across a given commodity.
• Develop supplier risk and opportunity management plans.
• Establish negotiation strategy for awards and sourcing of qualified sources.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and strategies.
• Analyze suppliers' operations to ensure price, quality, delivery and cost goals.
