Job summary

Cohere Health, a remote-first employer, seeks a Commercial Counsel to drive the legal lifecycle for product offerings and strategic partnerships. You’ll draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements and partner with Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations to enable growth while managing risk.

Ideal candidates have a J.D., 3–5 years of corporate legal experience in health tech, and a proven track record in contract negotiation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• 3–5 years of corporate legal experience, including law firm and in-house background.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide transactional and commercial counsel for product offerings to health insurer customers and partners.
• Lead commercial contracting including customer, vendor, marketing, licensing, NDA, and SaaS agreements, with focus on sales transactions.
• Build and maintain contract templates, playbooks, policies, and processes to improve efficiency and risk management.
• Advise via cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Operations, and HR to accelerate business objectives.
• Support AI/data usage governance and stay current on healthcare and technology regulatory developments.
• Assist with mergers, corporate governance matters, and IP protection as needed.
