Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to drive cloud data modernization across healthcare analytics. You will design, implement, and govern cloud data pipelines, warehouses, and lakehouse architectures using Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Role requires leadership, strong data modeling, HIPAA compliance, and experience with CI/CD, ETL/ELT, and scalable cloud solutions. Remote work option with occasional in-office collaboration may apply.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of designing and implementing enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions (on prem and cloud).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, ADLS Gen2, SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and modeling.
• Healthcare data experience including PHI/PII, HIPAA compliance, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in modernization of legacy data platforms and data warehouses to cloud technologies.
• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
• Build and optimize cloud data warehouses, data marts, and lakehouse architectures.
• Implement data security, privacy, governance, and compliance controls.
• Lead CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions and related tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define architecture patterns and migration roadmaps.
