Job summary

Sonova is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate in Valencia, CA, with a remote-friendly, West Coast-based role. You will lead global clinical studies from start-up to close-out, manage complex investigative sites, and drive study quality while mitigating operational risks.

The role requires 5+ years in clinical research, including 2+ years of independent site monitoring, and experience with CTMS, EDC, and eTMF. Travel 30–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience with at least 2 years of independent site monitoring.
• Experience with CTMS, EDC, and eTMF systems.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, ISO 14155, FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead the operational execution of global clinical studies from start-up through close-out.
• Conduct site qualification, initiation, interim monitoring, and close-out visits for complex studies.
• Lead site activation, investigator training, device accountability, and milestone planning.
• Serve as the primary operational lead for sites, monitor enrollment, protocol compliance, and data quality.
• Resolve monitoring findings, protocol deviations, data queries, and site performance issues.
• Maintain inspection-ready TMF/eTMF and support audits and regulatory inspections.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and mentor CRAs while driving process improvements.
