Job summary

3 Rocks Engineering & Surveying is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to serve as the technical lead for our civil site development team. You will own the technical side of projects, focusing on commercial site plans, residential subdivisions, and local utility design, while mentoring a team of five engineers and drafters.

You must hold a Colorado PE license (or obtain it within two months) and bring six+ years of hands-on grading, drainage, and utility design experience, plus

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado or ability to obtain licensure within two months.
• Six+ years of hands-on grading, drainage, and utility design experience with strong site development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Direct experience leading technical team members, managing engineers/drafters, or serving as a project lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical team of five engineers and drafters, setting design approaches and workload.
• Own the technical side of civil site development projects with focus on quality and production.
• Mentor and review team outputs to ensure deliverables meet standards.
