Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Sr. Category Operations Specialist to support Outside Plant services, locates, flagging, and field services.

You will drive sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and collaborate with Legal and Finance to ensure compliant procurement operations. The role emphasizes spend analysis, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement across Network Construction and Operations, with a remote work option within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2–4 years experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
• Ability to analyze spend and performance data and communicate recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spend, supplier performance, service demand, and market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize costs.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics with the Analytics team.
• Manage category spend visibility, supplier utilization, and financial performance.
