Job summary

Crawford & Company is seeking an experienced Casualty Adjuster for remote work across the USA. You will handle claims independently, interview insureds, prepare findings, set reserves and negotiate settlements in a compliant, timely manner.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of casualty adjuster experience, an active adjuster license, strong investigation and negotiation skills, and excellent communication. This is a full-time remote role open nationwide.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Adjuster License required (any state).
• Minimum 2+ years of casualty adjuster experience.
• Licensed as required by state and local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Examines claims forms, policies and endorsements to determine coverages.
• Investigates claims by interviewing insureds, claimants and witnesses, obtaining reports and evidence.
• Sets loss reserves and prepares required reports.
• Settles claims by determining coverage, liability and authority levels; negotiates settlements and issues payments.
• Maintains compliance with regulations and service standards.
• Mentors junior adjusters and participates in special projects as needed.
