Job summary

7Seventy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own backend systems spanning trust, identity, auditing, and telemetry. This hands-on role blends API design, production reliability, and end-to-end feature ownership, with collaboration across Product, Design, and partner teams.

You will design and deploy enterprise-grade services with strong observability and security. You will tackle OAuth/SSO, audit logging, telemetry pipelines, and RBAC/permissions, while contributing to on-call rotations and

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing and building backend services in production environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including consistency, failure modes, and resiliency patterns.
• Experience designing APIs and data models used by other teams or external customers.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language such as TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Rust, Java, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of a defined subdomain, such as OAuth and SSO flows, audit logging infrastructure, telemetry ingestion pipelines, or fine‑grained permissions systems.
• Drive features end to end by writing design documentation, gaining alignment, implementing solutions, testing, deploying, and monitoring them in production.
• Design systems for enterprise reliability with observability, rollback paths, and incremental delivery built in.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and postmortems for production systems.
• Work directly with Product and Design to define scope, priorities, tradeoffs, and delivery increments.
