Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking a Back-End Engineer for a 12-month contract position (Remote, US). This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance server-side systems and scalable, distributed infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience building backend services with Python, Kubernetes orchestration, and data-intensive workloads. You will deploy, monitor, and optimize APIs, databases, and distributed processing in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with high-performance server-side systems.
• Extensive Python experience for backend services and data workflows.
• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration in production.
• Proficient SQL with query optimization and schema design.
• Experience with Azure cloud services for deployment and monitoring.
• Deep knowledge of MongoDB in distributed stores.
• Experience using Ray for distributed computing.
• Nice-to-have: FastAPI for async APIs and Docker.

• Design and develop high-performance server-side systems and backend services
• Architect and build scalable, distributed systems capable of supporting high-availability, high-throughput applications
• Build backend services, automation tooling, and data-intensive workflows using Python
