KBF ADVISORY LLC in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Advisory Services team. The role offers exposure to IPO readiness, M&A accounting, and SEC reporting, with a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include researching GAAP issues, drafting memos, assisting with 10-K/10-Q and S-1 filings, and supervising Associates/Interns while maintaining high-quality deliverables for top-tier clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Must have completed the necessary academic credit hours to sit for the CPA exam.
• Minimum of 2–3 years in public accounting advisory work and have reached the title of Senior Associate (or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP with experience researching and documenting complex accounting issues.
• Strong financial reporting and SEC reporting skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience and proven ability to oversee engagements to meet client deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Research and analyze complex GAAP technical issues (e.g., revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, debt/equity classification, stock-based compensation) and draft position papers/technical memos.
• Assist clients with SEC reporting requirements, including 10-K/10-Q preparation, and S-1/registration statement support.
• Support clients through IPO readiness, technical accounting due diligence, and purchase accounting for M&A transactions.
• Communicate with clients to develop and maintain strong client relationships and ensure the efficient information flow from the client to the advisory team.
• Proactively manage project deadlines to ensure delivery of work products based on client expectations and deadlines while ensuring overall quality standards.
• Coach and review the work of Associates/Interns, providing technical feedback on research and memo drafting.
• Collaborate with Partners and Managers on engagement status, technical conclusions, and client communications.
• Stay up to date with current accounting principles and industry-specific knowledge.
