Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Application Security Engineer in the Chicago area with remote work and occasional onsite.

You will lead security assessments across applications, APIs, and cloud workloads, drive remediation, and build governance dashboards to show posture trends. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of hands-on application security/DevSecOps experience, strong secure coding practices, and collaboration with architects, developers, and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5–7 years of hands-on application security / DevSecOps experience.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and continuously improve application security processes, standards, and workflows across the SDLC.
• Perform security assessments of applications, APIs, cloud workloads, and infrastructure.
• Drive remediation from discovery through verified closure with backlog management and evidence collection.
• Identify and reduce security debt, vulnerable dependencies, and software supply chain risk.
• Build security metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility and remediation status.
