First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior Applications Analyst to join our team. This role can be remote within our operational footprint and involves eliciting stakeholder needs, analyzing business requirements, and evaluating risks for assigned applications.

You will maintain, troubleshoot, and support daily operations, lead project work on upgrades and integrations, and ensure reporting systems drive informed decisions while adhering to vendor requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of application/business/systems analyst experience in financial services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or related field is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise application upgrades and bank integrations is beneficial.
• Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Elicit stakeholder needs and analyze business requirements.
• Evaluate product offerings and propose feasible enhancements.
• Lead or participate on system upgrade and integration projects.
• Maintain and manage reporting systems to support decisions.
• Maintain Disaster Recovery plans and models.
• Ensure changes follow standard processes with approvals.
