Job summary

TripleTen is seeking an AI Systems Engineering Expert to lead live sessions, review architecture work, and set high technical standards for a remote cohort of experienced engineers aiming for system architecture roles.

You will host weekly design-focused sessions, run group office hours, critique student deliverables against rubrics, and mentor instructors to ensure rigorous, real-world feedback in an async-first, US-based program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a senior software/systems architect, platform engineer, or senior backend/infrastructure engineer.
• Has designed and shipped systems at scale in a real company.
• Depth across system design, API/service architecture, cloud/infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD), and distributed systems.
• Can explain why a decision was made, not just how it was implemented, and diagnose and critique someone else's architecture live.
• Strong technical communication: capable of leading live sessions and writing clear review feedback.
• Strong English (C1+) — instruction and review are in English for a US-based audience.

Responsibilities

• Host weekly live sessions focused on design and decision layers (service splits, scaling, failover).
• Run group office hours and 1:1s for students working on projects and capstone.
• Review student projects against rubrics: architecture dossiers, deployed backends, cloud infra, performance and security.
• Provide architectural feedback beyond pass/fail and explain better paths.
• Run mock architecture review boards and executive-panel critiques.
• Set technical standards for instructors and act as escalation point for design calls.
