The role involves defining technical mechanisms to ensure AI systems meet standards for accuracy and compliance, designing evaluation frameworks, and partnering with cross-functional teams. With 15+ years of AI/ML engineering experience required, this position supports remote work and offers a competitive salary range of $229,800.00 - $298,700.00, with additional bonuses and equity grants.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with impact at Senior Principal or equivalent level.
• Deep hands-on experience designing and implementing AI/ML evaluation frameworks in production.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, auditability, and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for AI quality, evaluation, and risk controls.
• Define and operationalize mechanisms for Vertex AI systems' accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with Legal, Security, and Risk teams for policy translation into technical mechanisms.
