Job summary

Salesloft is seeking a Principal Engineer for AI to set the technical direction for machine intelligence across our Predictive Revenue System. You will architect systems turning LLMs and AI models into production capabilities used by thousands of enterprise revenue teams.

This senior IC role requires influencing architecture, guiding non‑deterministic components, and mentoring engineers while advancing foundation models and agent frameworks.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience architecting production software at scale with AI/ML.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs or ML models in production.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and model serving.
• Proven ability to set architecture and standards across teams.
• Mentoring senior engineers and leading complex AI projects.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or Go and cloud infra proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical architecture for AI systems across the platform.
• Design production-grade, observable systems built on probabilistic AI components.
• Architect evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and quality systems for AI features.
• Lead end-to-end AI engineering problems from prototyping to production.
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards for AI-native systems.
• Evaluate advances in foundation models, agent frameworks, and AI stack.
