Job summary

Foodsmart, a leading telenutrition and foodcare platform, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead an engineering org of ~16 engineers. You’ll set technical direction, collaborate with product/design, and champion AI across our stack.

This role emphasizes scaling a secure, high-quality, AI-first platform in a remote-first environment. You’ll mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, ensure delivery across four AI pods, and partner with stakeholders to maximize member impact while

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years managing teams.
• Hands-on AI-native development experience with agentic systems and LLM integrations.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams in fast-moving environments.
• Experience running Agile/Lean with Jira/Confluence.
• HIPAA/SOC 2 awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-native development: guide teams building AI-native software products spanning agentic workflows, LLM-powered services, and AI-assisted engineering.
• Own four AI pods end to end: manage four AI-focused pods delivering features and outcomes.
• Manage cross-pod dependencies and risk: identify intersections and mitigate risks before they threaten delivery.
• Shape architecture: drive architecture reviews for React.js/TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, PostgreSQL, Redshift stack for scalability and security.
• Stay outcome-focused: tie work to member/business impact rather than outputs.
• Champion AI adoption: drive AI tooling and AI-powered product features across engineering.
• Drive engineering excellence: improve code quality, testing, observability, CI/CD.
• Mentor and develop talent: coach engineers and tech leads.
• Communicate and collaborate: translate technical realities for stakeholders.
