Placements24 is seeking a Senior AI Ethicist & Policy Analyst to shape responsible AI development. This fully remote, South Africa-based role involves building ethics frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and guiding leadership on regulatory matters.

You will collaborate with AI researchers, product teams, and legal counsel to embed ethics, design training, and engage with external stakeholders to advance governance and responsible AI practices.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in Ethics/Philosophy/Law/CS with focus on AI ethics.
• 5+ years in AI ethics, policy, or related field.
• Deep understanding of AI concepts and societal implications.
• Experience conducting ethical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks and guidelines for all AI projects.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI systems and identify biases and societal impacts.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, PMs, and legal counsel to embed ethics across AI lifecycle.
• Stay updated on global AI regulations and policy developments for senior leadership.
• Design and deliver training programs on AI ethics for internal stakeholders.
• Engage with policymakers, academics, and civil society to foster dialogue on AI ethics.
• Contribute to responsible AI governance structures and processes.
• Author white papers, reports, and position statements on AI ethics issues.
