Job summary

EverPeak, a Denver-based insurance tech company, is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fully remote role. You will handle monthly reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis, contributing to GAAP compliance and financial statements.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of accounting experience, Excel mastery, and strong analytical skills. Insurance industry experience and CPA are pluses. Eligible for benefits including PTO, 401(k) match, and performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable administration.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner to ensure the integrity of accounting information.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate monthly financial reports and statements for management review.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and SAP where applicable.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and process improvements; support external audits.
