Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is seeking a Remote Senior Accountant to support manufacturing operations with inventory costing, internal controls, and monthly financial close. You will prepare reports under US GAAP/SEC, reconcile inventories, analyze variances, and partner with Supply Chain and Operations to drive improvements.

Requires 7+ years of accounting, 4+ years in cost and inventory accounting, and advanced Excel; a Master’s and CPA/certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 4+ years in cost and inventory accounting.
• Experience with US GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel and accounting software/database skills; Oracle EBS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory accounting, costing, and internal controls across manufacturing operations.
• Complete month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory rollforwards.
• Prepare financial reports and disclosures under US GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Reconcile inventory valuations and cost ledgers; analyze excess inventory.
• Support SOX audits and physical inventory counts.
• Analyze cost variances and advocate improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain/Operations to resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain financial controls and safeguard confidential information.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures; perform other tasks as needed.

Job Duties for Remote Senior Accountant:

• Manage inventory accounting, costing, and internal controls across manufacturing operations
• Complete month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and inventory rollforwards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, consolidated statements, and disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements
• Reconcile inventory valuations and cost ledgers, eliminate intercompany inventory profit, and analyze excess inventory
• Support physical inventory counts and internal and external SOX audits
• Analyze cost variances, identify trends, and recommend operational and system improvements
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and other teams to improve processes and resolve accounting issues
• Maintain financial controls, safeguard confidential information, and support management-assigned projects
• Follow all policies and safety procedures in place
• Completes any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications for Remote Senior Accountant:

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 4+ years in cost and inventory accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, with a master’s degree and CPA or CPA candidacy preferred
• Demonstrated ability to research, document, and present the financial impact of cost and inventory transactions
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, accounting software, and databases, with Oracle EBS experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Pharmaceutical industry experience or knowledge preferred
• Ability to sit for duration of shift
